Funen Blok K Verdana
10 ground-related dwellings
for "Du-Magazine"
Architects: NL Architects
Client: IBC Vastgoed / Heijmans
Location: Amsterdam / Netherlands
Execution Year: 2010
NL Architects designed Funen Blok K as part of a masterplan that will deliver 500 residences in a former industrial zone. Assorted plants create a blanket of red and green across the undulating roof of this housing block. It accommodates ten residences, each with their own roof terrace. Like the rest of the buildings of Funenpark, Blok K is surrounded by gardens and landscaped pathways. The site is privately owned and maintained, but is accessible to the public as a park.
